Sora Ventures is an Asia-based investment firm that acquires and operates publicly traded companies, implements disciplined Bitcoin treasury strategies, and backs the web3 and digital asset infrastructure defining the region’s financial future.
Our Story
From the ground floor of web3 to the architects of Asia’s Bitcoin era.
Sora Ventures was founded in 2018, before institutional Bitcoin was a recognized category, before Asian public companies considered digital assets a balance sheet decision, and before web3 had the infrastructure to support serious capital.
We started as early believers. Fund I deployed $28 million across 70+ companies spanning Bitcoin infrastructure, DeFi, decentralized science, and privacy. We built relationships across Japan, Korea, Thailand, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. We learned which markets moved fast, which moved carefully, and which were building infrastructure that would matter long after the cycle turned.
By 2024, the thesis had sharpened. Fund II marked a deliberate pivot, from broad web3 investing to something more focused and more operational. We began acquiring publicly traded companies across Asia and implementing Bitcoin treasury strategies from the inside. Not as advisors. Not as passive holders. As operators.
The results speak for themselves. Today Sora’s portfolio companies collectively hold over 41,000 BTC. Sora itself is listed on Nasdaq through AsiaStrategy (NASDAQ:SORA). Fund III, our $1 billion flagship institutional fund, is now raising.
